My Hopper 3 does the reboot between 9am and 9pm daily, and has done so for months. Dish has no answers when I have made numerous calls to Tech Support. I feel we just have to live with the problem.
Zach. It's happening to too many receivers to have all of them having "hard drive failures". Look at the posts at DBS Talk for reports since last October.
If you check DBS Talk, you'll see this has been happening for months. It is a Dish problem, not a individual receiver problem. I seems to affect 612s,622s,722s, and 922s. It happens randomly.
Guess what? No Eastern Arc in Buffalo area for existing customers, new subscribers only. This per Intertech and Dish. No idea when upgrade will be available for long term loyal subscribers. So no new HD channels. Same old same old.
