Virtually no buffering. Other than the DVR, I think Apple TV can do way more. I get everything that I used from dish, but now just pay less. Also, get more out of my $65/month 100M/bps internet service. I think it’s a win-win for me. Plus I get HBO again.

They did the same to me. Sorry, HBO is a deal breaker. They the grass isn’t greener on the other side of the fence, but the picture quality from DirectTVNow smokes Dish. And my bill is down by $130/month for all the content that I want. Dish tried to play the net neutrality card.

I am beginning to think that these boxes don't put out 4k, unless they are playing 4k content. My hopper and my joey, on both my 4k sets both show 1080p in the diagnostics tab in settings. I thought these boxes upconverted everything to 4k. Neither of my tvs are detecting 4k signal.

I'm thinking hat something is broken on Dish's end. No 4k VOD for me with 60Mbps. But, both my TVs, and my blu-ray player are steaming 4k just fin from Netflix, Amazon, and M-GO.

It should be set to on. You'll only see any difference, when the source material is broadcast in HDR.
