I am currently there and doing both. I have D* with 2 DirecTivo's for US programming I have E* with a 508 for two international channels A friend of mine has the same with a 522 and while he has NBR (not even close to the accuracy of SeasonPasses) his 522 is a lot more unstable then my 508...

That's just plain stupid of E*... I was an expat from Germany - I didn't have an SSN for 3 years because I was on a business assignment, paid and employed in Germany, traveling with the appropriate visa... I got US POTS, I got a cellphone (the first one I had to give Nynex/BellAtlantic a $500...

As others have said: It's the customers choice to take AT60 and lease 'free' equipment or not take it and buy equipment. I want the later route and only have the $5 bogus fee in addition to my international package.... I am also pretty sure the whole asian package is on 121 and you don't need...

Actually - it happens at exactly 2am not 2:20am in each of the time zones - so the US makes four regional switches...

It was actually added to the subscribable lineup on February 3 - but somehow the press announcement wasn't made earlier (today it was also announced in Germany - as I already got a call from some Friends from 'back home' - and I told them 'I already got it)... For me having German programming...

Thanks for the explanation! It should work then :) Channel 726 is ProSiebenSat1Welt (from Germany) - I'm one of those immigrants - came to New York in '95 for a 2 month consulting job and somehow that job is still going on :D It's nice to have a bit of TV from 'the old home'...

I have exactly the same problem with the only referral I gave so far... I was there when my friend ordered. He called again last week to have them verify the referral number - and it looks ok from his end - but my account still says 'active' for that card.... Please let me know what you find out.
