DISH Network Wants to Offer Nationwide LTE service

I would be very interested in a bundle with unlimited data...or a family plan with a pool of data that could be shared.

ESPN Gameplan - Standard Def only? Ever going to see HD college ball?

Every ESPN Gameplan game I've seen with DirecTV and Time Warner has been SD only also...I wouldn't blame Dish on this one.

Dish channel line up vs AT&T U-Verse channel line up

That makes sense. I should clarify my last post and mention that I canceled the TV service but still have and like the U-Verse internet service.

Dish channel line up vs AT&T U-Verse channel line up

I had U-Verse service for 1 month in my home and was able to compare their DVR and service side-by-side with Dish for that time. After the month was over I decided that the channel selection, price, and especially the DVR was superior with Dish so I canceled the U-Verse TV service. I kept the...

ESPN 3 avialability for DISH Netwrok Customers

I have U-Verse for internet and Dish for TV and get ESPN3 access. TV-only U-Verse has a really good price, so I'm happy with my combo.

    Looks Like Lin is back!

Adweek says that Dish picked this time to draw the line in part because of the FCC meeting tomorrow. Though it has limited authority to radically change the rules, the FCC put retransmission reform on its agenda for this Thursday. One analyst thinks the timing was not an accident. "While this...

    Locals Only

The $16 that I paid for a month for locals only *included* the DVR fee. Now, I will pay $14.99 plus $6 for the DVR--$20.99 per month, but I will pay $15.99 for 6 months.

    Locals Only

I had locals only and am leasing my 622. I never bought any of my Dish equipment, but I was allowed to switch to Locals only.

    Locals Only

This exact thing happened to me also. We just noticed the change in our bill a few days ago and I spent a night on a chat session with a Dish CSR and then a long conversation with a person that the chat person told me to call (a department called something like RTA). They wouldn't budge from...

Minimum level of service to keep OTA recording

I just tried out a couple of antenna options and my experiments sure seemed to confirm what antennaweb said about availability. The towers are all in different directions and very far away, plus I don't have line-of-site due to terrain (hills in the way). I don't think that GoogleTV and the...

Minimum level of service to keep OTA recording

I had read up on everything when I called about switching away from Absolute. I thought that they would reject my request for locals-only, but when the CSR put me on hold and asked a supervisor and then came back to let me know that they would let me go to Locals-only, I switched right away...

Minimum level of service to keep OTA recording

Sadly, all the networks are *not* available OTA where my house is. I have an OTA antenna set up and cannot pull in all the networks no matter how much tweaking I do. When I plug in my address in that online guide to getting OTA networks, it sure doesn't look possible for me to get all the...

Minimum level of service to keep OTA recording

I am leasing my 622, but when I got the letter about Absolute ending the CSR let me switch to locals only. My bill is $16/month--that includes the charges for DVR and for Locals Only. My account shows the $16/month charge, so I'm assuming that this worked for me even though I'm in a lease.

    Losing HD Absolute. Any suggestions?

I did the comparison yesterday and for my setup (1 DVR, a 622) it would be a *lot* cheaper for me to stay with Dish, even after the $10/month promotion ends. I also talked with a Dish CSR who was very good at answering my questions about the letter. The only question he couldn't answer was...

    Losing HD Absolute. Any suggestions?

I have U-Verse for my home internet service, so I guess I should look at how much it would be to add TV in a bundle.
