I understand that OTA is free, but could you please explain the logic used when applying this comment to dish. As I see it, it's not free to me or to dish.

Suing someone simply means that you are "instituting legal proceedings" against them. Which, is exactly what Dish did by filing this case. The fact that they are asking for a declaratory judgement instead of asking for money, an injunction, or some other punitive damages doesn't change that.

So are you saying that you can view the other hoppers tuners, or would you have to be recording the show?

Wouldn't that require the second hopper to have access to the paused tuner on the first hopper?

I've been holding off on a hopper because I want to be able to pause live programming on any tv and pick it upon any other tv. With this you can't pause live tv on 1 hopper and pick it up on the other?

I may be mistaken but didn't Scott mention early on in one of the Hopper Questions threads that Dish had the 2 Hopper integration software working on a test unit, but that they were polishing the UI before releasing it?

I'm most excited about being able to pause a recording and pick it up in another room. This will work great for going from the living room to the exercise room to the bedroom. I'm also interested in PTAT, most of the shows my wife records are on the major networks.

Thanks. I'll have to give some more thought to getting two hoppers when I do the upgrade. Being the tech geek I am, I tend to stick with buying new gadgets based on what they can do now, not what they might do in the future. Often it doesn't pan out. Dish's track record(especially the 922)...
