Is Verizon's FiOS out of bandwidth?

This is physically impossible. There is no limitation to the amount of bandwidth over fiber optical lines. It's all about the equipment that feeds the lines.

Verizon using Garbage Bags to Repair Telephone Lines

I work for Verizon and I can tell you that the reason they use those black bags is to keep the splice dry and somewhat secure from animals such as birds nesting in open cases. It will be replaced eventually, probably the next outage they have in your area. But yes, VZ is making sure Fios gets...

Free Insall May Not Be Free!

I work for Verizon. If you dispute it, 99% of the time they'll remove the charge.

    Cv Vs Fios

It's funny, CV will offer you almost anything to stay with them when you finally decide to switch. Why not offer you the discounts while you're a customer? Guess you're not that important! CV, Cya!

Sony Closes HD Player Price Gap

I'll stick with my $199 Xbox 360 HD DVD add-on.

    Cablevision OR Fios

Get Fios, you'll be happy you did. You'll regret getting CV service. The Video quality is horrible, the Interactive Programming Guide is unbelievably slow and clunky, the Internet service is slow and bogs down when you need it most. The list goes on and on. And if you're thinking of getting...

    Upcoming HD Channels

Listen, I'm not saying that it doesn't happen. I'm just saying that the service has an amazing buzz and people are looking for alternative services, ie. competition (which is a good thing for consumers). I also worked CV sales in the Piscataway office so I know that people join and cancel...

    Upcoming HD Channels

First of all let me say that I worked for CV for 2yrs and I now work for VZ fttp. I can tell you that CV is not all fiber in the street, it's mostly coax. Don't believe me, look up and see. They do have fiber just not 200-300ft from the home, sorry to tell you that you're wrong. I can also...

    Upcoming HD Channels

The fact of the matter is that Coax does not have the capacity of fiber. In 2009 when everything is suppose to go 100% HD, CV along with Dish/Ecostar are going to have to compress their video to some extent. I mean look at the video quality of SD/HD channels offered by CV now compaired to...

    Upcoming HD Channels

You will see in the coming years that Verizon Fios is the only TV service that will offer TRUE HD channels due to the bandwidth needed to support them. CV will have no choice but to compress the video feed similar to what Dish and Direct does now. Which in turn, will ruin picture quality IMO...

FIOS Channel line up in Mercer County, NJ

Mercer County will offer both NY and Phil. feeds. I work for Verizon and viewed the channels the other day in the West Windsor area.

    Fios Mercer County

Almost most of East Windsor is up and running. You should call and see if they have it avail. If you live in a newer house with no poles in site, then underground conduit is placed which takes a little longer to get it to you. Hamilton has been worked on for awhile. You should also be Fios...

    Fios Mercer County

I'm a fiber splicer for Verizon FTTP which is the construction end of the Fios and I can tell you that we are currently working in Mercer County right now. May I ask what town you are in? You should be up and running soon...

    Could CV be losing customers?

LOL, that's because CV owns those channels....Eventually the courts will force CV to offer them on FIOS. :eureka
