I don't know if anyone has this option, it was just a thought I had. On reflection, installing an inline fuse that's imune to rf interference could tricksy. Anyone have any thoughts on that?

If I couldn't get the installer to do it, I would be temped to install an inline fuse, say 1A. Then maybe short the connector at the flat cable to see if the fuse blows. Does the receiver get fried when the cable shorts out?

Chuck on Bravo Recorded and watched the re-broadcast of Chuck last night on Bravo. No problems, picture and sound were great in HD.

I'm in Duluth and have 1 dish (1000.2). Reception on the 129 sat has been decent this summer. Haven't had many problems with lost signal, except during storms.

I'm in Duluth and get all 3 sats on 1 dish (the 1000.2). Sats 110 & 119 come in fine, but 129 is a little weak. But everyone seems to have that problem. It can be annoying because a lot of the HD channels are on 129. But we really haven't had that much problem with signal loss since the system...

DVD recorder will work fine. Either manually start recording during playback of a dvr event. Or program the the dvr to auto tune and set the dvd recorder to record on aux input by date/time. I have a RCA dvd recorder with upconvert & hdmi output. Listed on Amazon for $79.
