Thank you all for your help. I think I'll stick with an SD receiver, 3922, until either forced off due the age of the receiver or DIY comes out in HD, which ever happens first.

Yes, except much of the time there would be nothing on the tape. A terrestrial signal 85 miles away is not the most reliable, especially in digital. But you have a great idea, if the circumstances were different.

Worship is a great channel! Unfortunately I do not have hi-speed internet at home and must watch between 1am and 5am, on a former Pax station 85 miles away. It would be nice if additional stations would look to them to programme sub channels and over nights. It is a lot more valuable, to me...

When I hooked up the installation, at my parents house, I had to go into the router and tell it to use G band only. The set top box was locking up on the "WEP" entry page and never going home. Once the router setting was changed, the set top box began working.

I will miss the Worship Channel. But at least I can get it off of a local DTV sub channel between 12 midnight and 5 AM, and on line, I can hear the sound.

I find the stretch modes make people look fatter and scenes are distorted. I would like to see all SD finally go away.

I will just receive OTA, and with the bulk of my time, find something better to do than watch TV.

Too bad Familyland has to bite the dust. Maybe Dish will take them up as a PI channel.

On RFD's Website they say that Dish will carry them on channel 231, as a stand alone, for $1.99. If true, this would be another option for those who do not want to buy into a package.

Last week I installed a 322 receiver in my parent's home. They are subscribed to SA and Dish locals only. I have two PBS channels through Dish and Sky Angel service, but get no PI channels. I was told by a dish CSR that I would need to subscribe to their 60 channel package or better. To me, it is not worth it.
