Somewhat related question...I'm thinking about "moving" from Louisville to Cleveland or Columbus. I get a lock on 129 for both and the signal strength is green and about 43. Is this good enough?

When Louisville got HD a couple months ago it came without Fox. It was only a couple weeks after that we got Fox in HD as well. This thread is relevant to me as I'm probably going to "move" to Columbus for the OSU/Browns games in fall and the Browns are probably going to be on CBS.

I have Absolute and got CI and BET. I also have Showtime and got the new HD for those as well (but that's to be expected). I do not have Fox News or Business though. We'll see what happens at the end of the month.

I chatted online with a tech to get Louisville HD locals installed a week or so after they became available. They put in a wingdish. I subscribed to locals previously even though they weren't in HD. Just saw my bill and got a $99 install charge. Should I have been charged for this?

My experience -- I have a 1000.2 dish @ 110, 119, 129 locations to a Vip-622 and I've upgraded the smart card. I go online and talk to a tech rep and ask for someone to come out and upgrade my dish to 1000.4 and put me on EA so I can get Louisville locals. Tech says sorry, EA is only for new...

Looks like Louisville/Lexington is going to get HD locals soon. I didn't think this was on the list for this year. Woot!

They aren't on the list at the moment (neither is Louisville, Indy, Cinci, Dayton, Youngstown, Charleston). Your best bet is to "move" to Cleveland.

You may be able to get Nashville. Not sure of transponder map. Cleveland is also a possibility. And Memphis just went live.

Showtime has several great series going at the moment. Better than HBO in many respects.

I don't understand why they don't offer On-Demand for HBO/Showtime and the premiums. I can get this through my local cable company.
