Did something chnage that makes the DSR 500 obsolete? If so, when did the change occur? I wonder how the hell I am going to get it shipped to the US? Any ideas? I bought the original from Kusat.

OK, I haven't truned on the Starchoice receiver for a long time (months), but on Satruday night I turned it on and none of the HD channels are working. All of the SD channels I checked work fine, but when trying to select an HD channel, the satellite light on the front of the receiver goes red...

Why in the world is almost every game in HD excepth the Minnesota Wild and Anaheim Ducks series in HD? Every other game but 1 is in HD and all of the Ducks/Wild games are in SD.... I do not understand? Any ideas?

Tried that, left the batteries out for a week, still no go. You try and push the buttons as quickly as possible and half the time it is like you pressed a button twice. It applies to the numbers as well as the +channel- button....

The remote for my DSR 500 has never worked right. When I press the up and down channel buttons, it skips down as if I hit the button twice. Many of the other buttons act that way as well. I do have one of the older (black) UHF remotes and while it doesn't skip, it is really slow. I really...

Uh oh..... Iceberg, I just checked 302, ECB/NO 8.6 (bounces between 8.5 and 8.7). Checked 281, ECBNO 10.8. Checked 465, ECBNO 8.8. I have a DSR500, went to 6-4-3 (I think, tune receiver) and on 281 there is constant tone, on 302 and 465, it beeps.... Think I need to re-align??? :(...

I was watching TV tonight and found the video and audio to be WAY out of sync. I have a StarChoice DSR 500 and a Samsung DLP HLR5067W contacted with component cables. Any ideas? Also, my home theatre system is WAY off as well, it is like watching a dubbed movie. Any ideas? Thanks...

They do not need a phone number, tell them you either don't have one or use cell only. You will need to limit yourself to 1 or 2 receivers at the very most however.

OK, so it has been less than a month since I bought my Starchoice DSR500HD and now they have replaced it with a DSR505HD, it appears the difference is DMI output and MPEG-4 capability along with a "better" guide.... Dang! Also, anyone have issues with the "+ channel -" key on the DSR500...
