They were not required to do that by any court... they did it voluntarily because "it was the right thing to do." No opinion here as to whether they would have been required to, had someone sued them, but there wasn't any actual litigation over that issue.

This issue is still present for me -- random channel order, lockups on the box even when not pressing any buttons on the remote... box won't stay up for more than 3-5 hours *tops*, and often freezes after only 1-2 hours. Very very frustrated.

Stevo714 and madpoet, are you connecting your voom box to your ae-500u through dvi? I just got it installed today and the DVI connection "blue screens" randomly every 30-120 seconds. (i.e., it "loses sync" on the DVI connection at 720p). I'm hoping that a firmware update of the voom box will...
