Did DirecTV end up eliminating the SD channels for Sunday Ticket this year or were they still around? I ended up cancelling my service.

So are they eliminating all SD mpeg2 channels this year or only locals? All I really care about is the SD Sunday Ticket channels.

Thank You!! This was it. I did not run a check switch, figuring since no switch was connected it was not necessary. However, I wasn't thinking that it actually has to configure for the switch inside the LNB and not just an external switch. As soon as I ran the check switch all transponders...

I really only use this system to watch the horse races on 118. There is no dish specific for just 118, so I would up with the "1000+ dish" that gets 110, 118 and 119. Thankfully it isnt my primary television source, so I can take time to hopefully figure out what is wrong and fix it.

Well I could see if this was happening on one of the LNBs, but is it really likely that both LNBs are going to fail at the same time? I suppose anything is possible, but that just seems unlikely.

Is this a common issue that people have had? The receiver is only 3 years old. What would cause the receiver to only see half of the transponders?

This is what I am thinking as well, but wouldn't both tuners have to go bad, since I see the same behavior with both tuner 1 and 2? Just seems kind of odd that they both would fail simultaneously.

You had the same issue as in you were only receiving half of the transponders? Were all of your LNBs bad, or just one? I just find it hard to believe that all of a sudden both the 119/118 and 110 LNB went bad.

Yes, but if I go directly from the LNB to the input of the tuner shouldn't I be able to see all the transponders and have a signal? I have bypassed the switch. All the Left transponders show no signal while all the right transponders are good.

There is no wall plate in the line. The cable comes directly into the house through a conduit with other cables. I did check all connections back to the dish at all LNBs and they looked fine. Cable was rated properly at time of installation 3 years ago, so I don't think all of a sudden it is...

Ok, checked all cable connections and they all look good, no apparent corrosion. I then hooked directly from each LNB output to the receiver (119, 110 and 118) and full signal was back on each satellite. However, when browsing through the channels on a specific satellite some are still...

Looking for a little help here. Came home tonight to complete signal loss on my VIP 222 receiver with both tuners. No significant weather issues. I ran check switch and it did 38 tests instead of the usual 4 and then told me that less satellites were detected than with my previous test. All...
