I also talked with their tech side. They sent out a new 3.2 IR for my 311! The base problem is that the DTV Pal and TR-40 do not have a programable address. Work around is to set Receiver Remote AUX to 3, then 1#.

I recieved a smart card in the mail from Dishnetwork at about the same time my screen started telling me I needed a new smart card. My 311 has a built in smartcard chip. Whats the deal? Can't get a good answer from DN as to why my 311 now needs a removable smartcard.
