Since I don't have a second tv hooked up it was easier to change from A to B on the remote. So far that seems to work.

That makes perfect sense and changing the second remote should solve my problems. I'll try that and let you know what happens. Thanks

I'm using one tv and using remote 1 only. Went into the menu and turned off shared view .

Couldn't spell it at the time. Found an adjustable one (up to 20db) I'll try next. Still wondering what would cause my problem even after I changed the remote address. Did check batteries as was suggested but that shouldn't cause problem if I'm not using the remote and receiver is turned off.

The remote isn't IR, it's the one for a 722 receiver. Tried changing the remote address and it doesn't matter what I change it to, the receiver keeps coming on by itself. Strange. Took the antenna off again and the problem is solved. Does anybody have an explaination for my problem? Will...

Changed the remote address. That should fix the problem. Thanks. Removing the antenna worked too, but fixing the real problem is better.

The receiver turns on late at night, never during the day. I finally removed the antenna from the back of the receiver and that seemed to solve the problem. The remote still works as good as it ever did and the problems haven't come back.

My receiver will turn itself on and sometimes change channels by itself. Could this be caused by a neighbor having a remote extender or anything else in the neighborhood?
