Charper1, 10% is not what I call a simple cost increase. Standard COL is somewhere around 2.5%. If they want to pass that along to us, then I will accpet as an increase in the cost of running the business. What is the other 7.5% for? I have never received an unexplained 10% price increase...

Charper1, I see that you continually defend D*...the fact is, that $10 represents a 10% increase. Is D* compensating us with 10% better service for this? I think not. Would you just sit back and accept a 10% increase in your phone bill, electrice bill, gas bill, etc...with no explanation or...

Running another line...cheap? Running another line to 6 receivers spanning 3 floors(with no crawl space)is not going to be cheap, unless I lay it across the carpet, up the steps, through bathroom, draped over the chandelier...you get my point...

Is it true that I cannot diplex my OTA through an AT-9 set-up? If so, does that mean I have to pay D* for something that I can receive for free...unless I run more coax to each receiver??

Difference? The Atlanta market was one of the first to get HD locals through Direct...is there a difference between mpeg4 HD and what I can receive through my HD antenna?

Are there any advantages of having a 5 LNB dish vs a 3 LNB and a HD antenna? I live close enough to Atlanta that I pick up all of the HD locals and then some on the antenna. Just wondering if there are any other channels that I am not receiving because I cant pick up on the Ka band...

I am looking for 4 or 5 diplexers and have noticed that pricing can range anywhere from $1.99 each to $24.99 each depending on the brand and location. Is there much difference between brands?
