I am looking for some advice. I have all the switches and dishes necessary to get the Voom channels and yet E* insists that the 811 requires professional installation and that I must pay $100 for the install. I refuse to pay $100 for the inconvience of waiting for someone to hopefully show up...

Is there both a lease fee and the additional receiver access fee on leased recievers? I want to lease an 811 and get the HD pak but I dont wanna pay $10 a month just for the 811.

Drop the VOOM content and add RSN HD sporting events. Cable currently has a huge advantage over satellite when it comes to your local sports teams in HDTV.

The satellite and cable companies should all team together and tell the content companies to go pound sand with their unjustified rate increases. The problem there is that more and more the content and distribution companies are the same company. Anti-trust action anyone?
