My 211 also reverted back to SD default. I had to go into the favorites list and deselect SD and select HD.

I miss it too. When they abandoned 148, I invested in a dish and LNB for 118. If it is available to subscribers only, why do they still list the "free" shows?

TV Japan TV Japan was removed from my guide. I find it now on 641. I am not in Hawaii.

I have a 211 connected to an older tunerless TV and a Samsung TV with a digital tuner. The Samsung tuner is more sensitive than my 211. The signal is evenly split between the Samsung TV and the 211. When both are tuned to the same channel, the 211 will dropout more frequently than the Samsung.

Can the same be done with the 1000.2? I intend to use a 26 inch dish for 118.

For low loss uhf transmission, your coax must have a foil shield layer, foam dielectric insulation and have an impedance of 75 ohms. Coax with copper braid only shield will be extremely lossy at uhf frequencies.

If they try to force me to sub. to a metal package when they move the Mpeg2 HD over to Mpeg4, I probably won't go for it. I would rather invest my money in an OTA antenna upgrade.

What orbital location will it be coming from?
