The install happened just like I figured but this whole thing is puzzling. The client can see all the recordings on the Genie and tune in all channels yet the only connections in common are RF in from the SWM splitter, power and HDMI cables to my AVR receiver. I haven't tried watching anything...

I’m still having trouble understanding why if the C61K is installed on my 4K Sony, my HR54 has to be installed on a non-4K tv. Why can’t I feed both boxes to 2 separate HDMI inputs on my AV receiver which feeds the 4K Sony TV.? Sent from my iPad using the SatelliteGuys app!

The dish has a Swimline 3S LNB/switch that feeds a 4 port SWM splitter. Port 1 is DC pass, the others are DC blocked.

The install of the C61 is next Friday. I already have the HR52.

Now I'm confused. My HR54 is connected to port 1 of he SWM switch through the power inserter. Its HDMI output connects to an AV receiver input. I thought the C61K was to be connected to port 2 of the SWM switch and its HDMI output connected to another input on my AVR

So, I will need to connect both HDMI outputs to my AV receiver? Sent from my iPad using the SatelliteGuys app!

How does the genie mini connect to the HR-54? Is the Genie connected to the SWM switch? Will I need to HDMI inputs on my AV receiver? Thanks guys.

Is the Sharp 4K? What about the Vizio? I have never seen 1080p and lower resolutions unconverted to 4K. I can imagine that it looks great.

One more question. How does the 1080i video look on your display? What make, model and year TV do you own? My brother owns the 55” plasma made in 2011. I own the 65” version. I am strongly looking at a new TV and 4K blu-ray player. Thanks for your time.
