Well, I actually gave it a shot tonight and surprisingly it worked, somewhat. I was able to see everything on 119 but nothing on 110 and of course only 1 tuner worked. I guess it is not able to access the internal switch built into the legacy twin lnb.

Does DISH have software like directv2pc where i can stream my dvr recordings on my local network without the needs for slingbox?

I didn't see anything in that thread about the 1440x1080i. Pretty much I am wondering if dish still does "hd lite." And my tv has a 1920x1080 matrix. Its a panasonic VT series plasma.

So I am thinking of switching from my current cable provider to Dish Network. I remember a few years back reading that dish transmits their HD at 1440x1080i instead of 1920x1080i. My question is, is this still true today? thanks

Has anybody else been experiencing very slow downloads with directv's on demand service? It seems as though download are capped a 3mb/sec. I have my HR22 hardwired to my fios router with 25/15 mbps service. Any ideas to speed things up?

Fios Unfortunately, the MOCA specification that verizon uses for data runs upwards of 1ghz, right in the middle of what directv uses regardless of where you place the b-band converter. Your best bet is to either run another piece of coax from either the ONT or dish to that room or run cat 5...
