When I firs contacted them I told them the situation. They did not offer me that option (and I was not aware that it existed til after the interruption), but they did say my service would be interrupted in 3 days if I did not pay. So it got interrupted and I call back today.

Obviously after I get a job and can afford it, I will go to Direct. Not now.

Been a Dish customer since 2000. Recently unemployed and can not pay my bill at the moment. Account was disabled. I called them to see if I could put the account on a temporary suspension till I can pay down the balance. They said. "For some accounts we can do that Yours in one of them. But...

another thing! And the other thing is they keep changing the damn programming on the website. Yesterday FoxHD was listed on the Turbo Gold. Not today! Even you seem not to know it all.

Cause I am just the average "Joe" customer, not an installer or in the business. Just one of the myriads or ordinary people out there that Dish has dazed and confused.

About Dish AbsoluteHD and Fox just got off the phone with E. My turboHD Absolute has been discontinued. (months ago they said, news to me) So to get Fox and everything I have already been getting with the absolute, I have upgrade to the Gold Package. An increase of $20 Month. Figures.

SGA in HD? When hve you seen SGA in HD on Sci-fi? I have not seen it on the channel lineup lately. Hope so, SGA is shot in HD 16:9. I will be disapointed if they don't show it that way.

I also noticed When signing up for DTV they do a credit check and if you less than optimal credit they hit you a monthly fee. What the hell is that *XX**:mad: I will really have to re-think DTV as a viable option to Dish. Maybe the waiting game is the best way to play this right now.:cool:

Curious I was checking out DTV site about the HD programming. Is it true that you have to "buy" the equipment (HD DVR package) for new subscribers? ($99 plus a rebate) Dish lets you rent the equipment with less cash layout upon signup. This could be a problem if Dish forces me to switch. :eek:

One more coming for sure On the bright side. VOOM is advertising an new HD movie channel starting May 1. :)

Why the Locals? I really think Dish is missing the boat here. Pushing all the HD locals and not coming through with the nationals. If I were interested in signing up to HD programming, I would be more concerned with the national networks not just my local market. Having local HD and not much...
