    did you go thru a best buy or sam's club? sometimes they do mail out all the gear. they should have notified the local contracting company so a tech could stop out and install it for you.

    Im not to familiar with a winegard dish, but in my professional opinion, id have to say it is the Receiver. are all your ird's having the same problem?

    HR44 is awesome!

    When I install the Hr-44 I still give the customer's the old remotes. new remotes stink IMO. plus u have to wait for the client to update before you can program that remote. takes way to long.

    you can use either a swm 5 or a ka/ku 5 lnb. I would recommend a swm 5. you should be able to get your local stations. yes it is hard to tune a HD dish without a meter, but it can be done with 2 people. 1 adjusting dish another watching the signal strength meter on the TV.
