Saw the commercial I saw the spot for this movie last night. They had all three disc format images on the screen with text indicating that it was out on Blu Ray Hi Def and DVD. The subtext noted a later release date for HD DVD. On a side note, I had to laugh the other day when my wife...

Amen. I use this disc to demo my system. A digital recording like this really shows off the pixels.

It's funny to hear the "HD experts" at the local Best Buy help answer questions. I learned, by way of an associate helping someone next to me, that 1080i only has 540 lines of resolution while 1080p has 1080. I was mislead all this time! I asked another associate how the red/blu player sales...

Blah, blah, blah Two formats causing consumer confusion is total FUD. There aren't that many great new movies out these days that people are willing to pay $30+ for. Many of us took the plunge and bought LOTR...maybe even the box set...and maybe even the special-special-director's-edition box...

Bay should redirect his energy to making better movies -- not worrying about which one is the better format.

Yeah -- go BROWNS instead. On topic: Will the new bird afford enough bandwidth to get rid of the pixelation issues on some of the HD channels? Watching TNT-HD makes me cringe at times.

Isn't it because the 360 doesn't have HDMI 1.3? I only bring it up because I'd hate for someone to think it's a feature that could be enabled via a future flash update.

I have two launch units and an Elite, and after reading the various boards, I'm amazed that I haven't had to send not even one of them in for repair. I've heard of people on their 5th or 6th units. Can some sort of class action suit be far off?

Yeah right -- the Xbox is having difficultly enough as it is...they don't need to confuse new buyers even more with another higher-priced unit. Landlocked 2 x Xbox 360s 2 x Xbox originals
