    Canadian election blackouts

    In Calgary, the local cable co. (SHAW) blacked out the nights coverage of CBC-HD from Toronto. Needless to say, the blackout is not 100% enforcable, however, the spirit of the blackout is to prevent the sway of last minute voters in the west with early results in the east.

    So this would be transponders T10, and T31 - previously unused by *C on Anik F2. So that would leave room for 1 more HD channel for a total of 4 that was promised in their programming brochure.

    Grey Cup/ CFL West final in HD

    For those who can receive CBC in HD... The CFL ON CBC will also offer CFL playoff action in HD including the Scotiabank West Division Championship on Sunday, Nov. 20 at 6 p.m. ET and the 93rd Grey Cup Championship in Vancouver, B.C. on November 27th beginning at 5:30 p.m. ET.
