On directv there is no Redzone channel without purchasing ST (unless you are out of contract and threaten to leave, they will give you just the Redzone channel.) I hope that would not translate to Dish if it moved over.

Probably not the worst thing for the company. I have got to think the future of pay TV hinges on live events (mainly sports). Honestly I don't know why someone tech-savvy with a good internet connection that doesn't have an interest in sports would pay for a tv subscription.
