You say that remote is not out yet??? are we getting them when they are (as part of our upgrade) or is there going to be more fees for the funky touchpad remote?

Here's an interesting question. Is it possible to use the touch-pad on the new dish remote with a htpc (as a mouse on a windows based one???). That would be ridiculously awesome.

Anybody know if the dish installers are usually willing to remove old un-used dishes from the roof, I have an old DirecTV one and was thinking about just asking the dish tech if he can unscrew it while hes up there!

Sorry for the ignorance but does anybody know from this picture , what type of dish I have. The leftmost one is the new one. It has "Turbo" written on the front of it, and I'm curious if anyone can tell me if this is the correct dish/LNB to have for the H3??

I had the same issue as Tech Writer with regards to being offered two separate "deals", 1st was 150$ with a 95$ tech fee (which could be reduced to 10$ if I got the prot. plan) 2nd and the one I took was 150$ for the H3 with 0$ tech fee as its being waved for me signing up for the protection...

Is it normal for Dish to get you to renew your contract (start a new 2 year one) when you upgrade your equipment)??

Thanks for the great info, it's much appreciated. This may be a stupid question , but when the members of the dirt team get to our applications for the upgrade, they will have all the info such as pricing, what we qualify for , what we CAN and SHOULD get etc and will talk it through with us...

Couple of questions. If I upgrade to the H3 from my H w/ Sling, but only 1 of my TV's is 4k. Will the tech upgrade my joeys too (atm they are Joey 1's I believe) for the same cost as upgrading would otherwise be. More importantly can the newer joeys that are 4k compatible ALSO provide lower...

I'm seriously considering becoming a "pub" member after just a few short weeks in this forum. People tend to be very helpful and I dont see much of a problem paying a small fee to get great advice etc! Thanks Satellite guys.
