I just switched today and they offered me an HD receiver for $100, HD service 1/2 off for six months, and up to $20 off of their premium channel lineup for six months. I was with D* a year and a half ago and only went to E* because they offered local channels before D* in the Mobile/Pensacola...

Everyone needs to check out the HD PPV channel. When you press info it describes some special sports event.....could true, maybe not a rumor......be patient....everyone expects miracles when the consumer pays the monthly bills.....but guess what...HD uses mega bandwith and the birds in space...

I bought a new 811 for $202 with shipping off of Ebay. Dish network told me I would have to subscribe to the Hd Pak in order to activate the box. They gave the Hd pak to me for half price for one year and I got to say it is a great deal at that price. The OTA HD signals work great through this...

Still beats D* Would you all like some cheese with your wine. Prices go up and if you want to remain with the service do so, if not leave...it is your choice. All the complaints I see about number of channels and so forth.....outer space is crowded with thousands of orbiting objects and those...
