Just so I'm clear. I have the ny hd locals, I got the waivers and I have a mpeg 4 receiver. Does this mean that I will lose the channels as well. I haven't got any call. Also, will the channels be moved to another number or will they just be gone. Thanks

this dosent make much sense to me, i can enter my address at direct tvs web site and it tells me i'm elgible for hd distant networks. do they have different rules than dish?

i have a pioneer dvr 520h and have not had any problems and i record a lot of movies from hbo, cinemax, sho, starz, etc. the panasonic is a good dvd recorder but you might want to look into the pioneer if you havent ordered yet, the sole reason being that it works with the 811's vcr timer. also...
