Everything seems to fine now for me too!!

So I guess this could take a while to get fixed? This is my first major issue/bug in 4 years of Dish service. The "missing" recordings are obviously there if we can transfer and view from DA app. So I'm inclined to leave them on the Hopper's HD, unless I want to watch a certain program soon...

I am having the same issue as well! Glad it's not my HDD failing! Interesting note...I transferred to EHD a program that should have 4 episodes but only displays 3. After transfer all 4 episodes are visible from EHD.

Ah, thanks for that info. What's the difference then between Joey3 and Joey2? 4K TV is not on my radar right now anyway...

I went ahead and ordered the dock/HD combo. Guaranteed delivery tomorrow. In the end this will also give me some additional storage to archive more shows/movies! I'll give an update after the install. Thanks for the advice and info!

One last question... the link you sent me was for the USB2.0 dock. They do have a 3.0 dock. Should I get that or is the 2.0 fine? doesn't the H3 have a USB3.0 on the back?

Yeah I know...I have today to order something for delivery on Saturday. If I go the route of buying the dock and internal drive is there any special care that needs to be taken with the internal drive being exposed and handling it?

Sounds good! But I'm really trying to keep costs down. That was my original reason for calling Dish. They can cut my bill in almost half, but they wanted a 2 yr commitment. I said I wouldn't touch that without new equipment. So here I am. I can get an eSATA to USB adaptor for $10. The old 500GB...

Speaking of SATA... I have an old 500 GB eSATA, AC powered, EHD I haven't used for years. Would that work if I got an eSATA to USB cable?

Thanks everyone for the advice...now the hard part. Finding an AC powered EHD. Can't seem to find any on Amazon for less than $100. How important is it that it's AC powered?

I have a tech scheduled to come out on Monday to install a new H3 at no cost to me. :biggrin From what I've read it's likely he will have to install a completely new dish? I'm on the east coast in VA. My biggest concern is keeping the recordings I have on my HWS. It's at 95% and my 2 TB EHD...

Ha, glad to know I'm not the only one... This is the first time I've come across this in the 2+ years I've had Dish. But Dish's hardware and software is superior to that of DTV and Comcast (in my experience).

PTAT was off. It was a strange bug. Even if I were recording all 3 tuners selecting to free up the tuner on the activity screen should allow me to change the channel.

My Joey was off. No one was using Dish Anywhere. I was recording 2 things, watching 1. The tuner I was using to watch was 'free', but it wouldn't let me change the channel even when I selected to free up the tuner on the activity screen.
