    This is true today, but expect the PC makers, particularly those that offer Windows Media Center Edition, to jump on the bandwagon with products that do exactly that (not the encoded signal, but the component/DVI encoding for "in the clear" content)...HD encoding from component is no different...

    Audio out of sync... Try to restart your STB...the audio and video aren't time-code locked...if the the video buffer gets delayed, then the audio keeps right on going...resetting the STB should do the trick...(unless it's a frame grabber/buffer in the uplink)
