    Losing HD Absolute. Any suggestions?

I was able to talk with executive support. Like I said in a earlier post...your monthly credit of your package will depend on your status as a customer. If you fight hard enough though you should be able to get at least the $10 credit on your account per month for a year (on top of the free...

    Losing HD Absolute. Any suggestions?

You won't get the $10 credit on package programming UNLESS you go with one of the base America's Top 120, 120+, 200, 250 or Everything Pack. It is actually in your best interest to take one of these packages with the 10$ discount as the price comes out the same as a Dish America package (this...

    Losing HD Absolute. Any suggestions?

I just called Dish Network about my Absolute package. The customer service reps are definitely not trained on this one (kept being put on hold while they looked for an answer to the letter). Finally, I was transferred over to a support specialist. Basically, they will give you HD for life and...

Over the Air stations on 722 showing incorrect program guide information

On my 722, I have a very peculiar problem as of about 2-3 months ago. My local over the air ABC channel 06-001 is being populated with the NBC guide information from channel 10. The satellite channel ABC 06-00 has the correct information. So for example, if you looked at the program guide...

DISH FIRST TO OFFER TV SERIES IN 1080P RESOLU

I'm a tad disappointed as well. I've played the 1080p/24fps content on PPV on Demand in the past. This online 1080p episode prior to downloading just gives a message saying "IF your TV is incapable of doing 1080p, it will downconvert to a resolution that works". Well, after waiting 16 hours...

Statement from Dish Network on Young Broadcasting Removal

Go back to cable if you want...but just as an FYI, cable companies (such as Time Warner in Green Bay, WI) have had their fair share of problems with this broadcasting company as well. In fact, Time Warner was giving away free antennas because the terms were so bad with the rebroadcasting fees...

DISH dropped WBAY-TV (ABC in Green Bay)!!!!

I say get an antenna. WBAY and their broadcast group is completely at fault and is being unreasonable with what they are asking for rebroadcast pricing. They are being greedy, just like every other station that is financially hurting today. Do you want your Dish Network price to go up because...

    What a load of *#*#!

As long as your not on any contract, they will let you sign up for one of the new Turbo HD only packages if you email ceo@dishnetwork.com or find a number that surpasses the 1st level of customer service. I know a few people who have done this that are current subscribers.

How to go from an existing customer to a new customer?

You don't need to change your address...just needs to be a different phone number and a different person on the account. Just wait a day between canceling and signing up. Another option is to quit Dish for 6 months and get the same deal for what they call a "previous customer promotion"...

    Dish 1080P

That standard may change as broadcasters look more into the MPEG-4 formats available. However, it will be years before they implement them (as far as regular broadcasting stations are concerned). However, Dish COULD potentially broadcast some of their own content in 1080p. They may sooner...

    DVR Advantage Fees

Lease fees have been removed from the 625 and 622 as of February 1, 2007 through the Dish'n Up promotion. If you email ceo@echostar.com, they will take care of the lease fees if you have signed up for this promotion after this date.
