Thanks, TheKrell. I worked it out with Laila. As always, DIRT comes through. They are great. I have not had any actual error messages yet, so I thought fan, instead of HD. And, yes, I know the error msgs are coming soon. I save stuff to the EHD regularly, fortunately. ?

I firmly believe it's the internal fan, not the hard drive, though. No error messages yet, but temp reports are high, despite being on a laptop cooler. Can someone from DIRT please contact me about getting it exchanged? When I hear from you, I'll PM you my account info.Thanks in advance.

How do you find your household key? I understood that EHD'S for the same acct were supposed to work on both receivers interchangeably, but mine prompts me to reformat everytime I take it from the recvr in the back room, to the recvr in the front room. Thanks much for the help!:)
