    TWC blows E* away!!!

Well, I also switched from E* about 3 months ago and since then, TWC here in Austin has added Boom and after the Winter Olyimpics left Universal HD on a permanent basis. Now if they could just add ESPN 2 HD in time for the World Cup in June I will be extremely happy.

    Sad farewell to DISH

I don't know what Cox uses. What my TWC uses is the SA 8300HD. My 2 DVRs have been very stable, have not crashed a single time in the 30+ days I have had them and have not missed a single recording. I am recording 2-3 programs a day. I never had Dish's DVR so I can't compare them to the...

    Time to upgrade

That is right. You have to pay full price for it. So the best scenario for you would be to sell your 942 on Ebay and then use that money to buy your 622 if you want to own it.

    Sad farewell to DISH

In the case of my local TWC, the grasp is no longer there and in my opinion, they are now behind cable. I left Dish about a month ago after being a loyal Dish customer since 1998 and I could not be happier with my decision. Picture quality in my local TWC is much better than Dish's, I now...

    dish is ticking me off....

You are totally right that it varies by individual cable company. I am now with TWC here locally so it varies by town even with the same company. But in my case is amazing how much better the picture quality is, especially on the non-HD channels. See many companies have upgraded their...

How much did/will your monthly bill increase if you upgrade?

Tom, That probably means that you really enjoy and watch the VOOM channels and that puts in the category of customers that will choose Dish over cable or DTV. I, on the other hand could not care at all for the VOOM programming. I had the original offering for 2 months and did not watch a...

How much did/will your monthly bill increase if you upgrade?

And you guys are not even counting the price you are paying for the right to lease the hardware which should be counted in the equation. Say you are upgrading to the 622 for $300.00. If you amortize that over 3 years, it is an extra $8.00 a month! You really have to do if you want to compare...

    Dish Treatment

Hey Daniel, Read my post from a couple of weeks ago: http://www.satelliteguys.us/showthread.php?t=55861 You don't know how much better the picture quality is with my local TWC, especially the non-HD Channels. My locals picture and some of the non-HD Channels picture quality was not...

Why Spend $ on Dish Hardware?

With all these recent discussions regarding upgrading/buying/spending $$ on new equipment, I wanted to throw the following for discussion: The customers in the following list clearly have Dish as their best choice and in my opinion have no choice but invest on hardware: • If you are in an...
