A couple of possibilities, the DSL filter is bad or connect wrong or is in installed in the wrong place. I would check the phone by connecting it directly to the incoming line without the filter, it should work but should have a lot of high frequency noise. To check the filter, connect a phone...
Thanks, I think I have a 1000.2 super dish, When I do a check switch it shows the fourth slot open. I may be able come up with a free :) dish 500 this weekend, if so may be looking for some tips to install. I have a 622 and 722 receiver.
Ok, has anyone installed a wing dish or a 1000.4 to receive the Springfield Mo locals?
I am in the south central Mo area, near the Arkansas border, would like to know how it worked before making the move.
Have they put up KY3 yet?
Also what did it cost?
I get all of the channels OTA, but it would be nice to be able to record several programs at the same time.
I'm in the Springfield Mo DMA, and I think a Dish 1000 dish (it's wider than it is tall) installed about 14 month ago. I also get the stations OTA so I'm not in a super rush to have the stations on dish but would like to end up with them before summer.
Does anyone know what my options are or...
It would be great to get the Springfield locals in HD, I get excellent reception OTA, however with the new shows it would be nice to be able to record 3 network programs at the same time.
Would agree, put in the conduit and only the wire for what you need today.
I have also considered using the light weight black plastic water line in place of the conduit and drop it into a standard blue plastic switch box. Main thing your interested in is a way to fish wiring from one point to...
I was hoping for some new HD, I would think Dish now has the bandwith to support additional channels. Not even any discussion or rumors, it's almost like everyone is gone for the summer.
What has happened?
I do the same thing as follows.
Feed the OTA to the antenna input on the TV.
Set an old VCR at the TV, feed the dish to the VCR and set the VCR to channel 60, connect the VCR to the TV using component cables, change input on the tv as needed.
I agree, wish they had a little more depth however.
I get very upset when I turn to a news channel and all I get is Nancy Grace or Larry King or what ever, use to be a fan of CNN, remember the slogan "around the world in 15 min or was it 30 min" wish it were still true.
In addition, if you will split you OTA cable and hook it to both the antenna-in on the TV and 622 or 722, you can record 2 programs from the dish, record 3ed program from OTA and watch a fourth OTA at the same time.
