So why don't you want to just upgrade to the latest Hopper 3? I have had one for over 3 years and it has had no problems.

I have been having this pixilation problem for over a year on ABC. I live near Rapid City South Dakota. Anything I record to the DVR is using the OTA channel for ABC. I have not seen this pixilation using the OTA ABC channel. The other broadcast stations are fine.

Jimbo. The ABC OTA is really good. The signal strength is around 80% to 86% depending on the cloud cover. I have an outdoor antenna on a mast about 20 feet in the air. The biggest complaint was from my wife when she watched Jeopardy or Will Trent. The recordings were really bad most of the time...

ABC is not having the issue. It is a Dish satellite rebroadcasting issue.

The Dish Tech Guy was looking on his phone. His app was was showing that other states were having this same issue.

I just checked out these 15 new channels. It looks like these will not be watched by me. I have the TOP 200 Dish package that is listed as having 240 channels. From that package I only watch about 10 channels and DVR about 99.8% of what I watch. So now I can add these 15 channels to the 230...

My Paramount Plus has way better picture quality then Dish. I had read that with Dish, the satellite feed to the DVR and live TV is somehow degraded a bit in a conversion process. Paramount Plus, You Tube TV, and HULU give you a true digital signal picture,thus a better picture.

You Tube TV does not have the Science Channel or the History Channel. Not having those 2 channels, I will not be switching to You Tube TV from Dish.
