Bonus view classics fast channels new on the hopper 3

I just checked out these 15 new channels. It looks like these will not be watched by me. I have the TOP 200 Dish package that is listed as having 240 channels. From that package I only watch about 10 channels and DVR about 99.8% of what I watch. So now I can add these 15 channels to the 230...

18 years and I may cut the cord!

My Paramount Plus has way better picture quality then Dish. I had read that with Dish, the satellite feed to the DVR and live TV is somehow degraded a bit in a conversion process. Paramount Plus, You Tube TV, and HULU give you a true digital signal picture, thus a better picture.

You Tube TV does not have the Science Channel or the History Channel. Not having those 2 channels, I will not be switching to You Tube TV from Dish.

    Xfinity's X1

They will not pause live TV, only recorded from the DVR. Mine will usually lock up if I use the skip ahead button. When I get to the last 7 to 10 minutes of a recorded program, it will not let me skip ahead or fast forward, so I am forced to watch a boring, useless commercial. Compared to my old...

    Xfinity's X1

I see that you found your answer. I remember when I programed my remotes, it automatically gave me the 30 second advanced and the 15 second back feature.

    Xfinity's X1

You just have described my X1 system. I have also had to reboot booth boxes multiple times. I have also set my remotes to the 30 seconds ahead and 15 seconds back feature. Maybe some day Comcast will get it right.

    Xfinity's X1

I think I might agree with you. I recently moved from Colorado to Florida. In Colorado I had Dish with the Hopper and Joey. It worked great. I liked the features the system had. In Florida I live in a Condo complex that is wired for Comcast. No satellites are allowed nor is Verizon Fios...

Thanks for the info. Yes I did find my zip code listed.

    Zip Code Setting

When I had the VIP722k and I went to the settings for the satellite to "Point Dish" to see the signal strength of the satellites, you could input your Zip Code. I am not sure why this is done except maybe to find the correct timezone to load the proper TV guide for your viewing area. I have had...

Life after Dish? Not for my archived recordings?

Remember, if you put your account on pause and you still have any time left on your 2 year contract, that contract will be extended for each month you are on pause.

Life after Dish? Not for my archived recordings?

Hey Miner. Do a search at yahoo groups for dishrip. That group might be able to answer you questions.

    Hopper Upgrades

I was on the online chat the other day. I chatted with a CSR because I was looking for the upgrade to the Hopper with Sling. I had a VIP722k not the old Hopper like you. I told her I was ready to cancel because I was out of contract and would switch to Comcast. She turned me over to someone...

Early Termination Fee - No Line of Sight after Moving

From what I have been told from someone in the Dish Loyalty Department, putting the account on Dish Pause will cost $5.00 a month. Time spent on pause does not count towards the commitment. That is the only down side. To buy out the remaining time on the contract it is $10 for every month you...

NEW DISH Pricing as of May 23, 2013

Do you know what this rumored new Genie is going to feature over the current Genie?

NEW DISH Pricing as of May 23, 2013

So are you saying that buying the Hopper equipment along with a Joey and switches there is no required 2 year contract? I understand the you will still have to pay the monthly DVR service fees. Is that correct? And you can still get the $7.00 a month service plan if needed. Is that correct?
