722 sluggishness, will it ever end?

Really? They haven't pushed L750 to me yet, my box is still at L690.

722 sluggishness, will it ever end?

Since I put up the "my guide is working again" post, it has continued to work. My dad's unit has also started working. Maybe this is finally fixed.

    BLACKOUT

I absolutely have to side with Dish in every single one of these disputes. If I get TV OTA, I don't pay a dime, and the station operator gets paid via the number of estimated eyeballs it delivers to advertisers. Cable is easy. A cable providor has very little to do- grab the signals OTA, and...

722 sluggishness, will it ever end?

Mine is not connected to either. However, this is an interesting development. Last night, for no good reason I can think of, the guide became lightning fast again. No reboot, no nothing. All last night, it was fast just like I remember. Today, right now, still good. Firmware is still at...

722 sluggishness, will it ever end?

Well, an interesting theory. In my case, when the guide is bad, the receiver isn't doing anything other than playing live TV. And while there are a few timers pending (doesn't everyone have timers pending?) and a fair amount of programs recorded, as someone who used to write a fair amount of...

What to do with a portable receiver in a car I bought?

CTC is the number one overnight talk show. Many years ago, it was Art Bell's program, but after several gyrations back and forth, it is now usually hosted by George Noory. On their website, they say "Sirius XM Satellite Radio XM Talk 168," but my receiver won't tune the channel. But what's...

    Bandwidth needed?

Excellent. So it will download the entire program to the HDD (I could ask for a program before I go to bed or something) so that I can watch it unbuffered later. Very good. Thanks, Matt!

    Bandwidth needed?

Unfortunately, the very best I can do is about 600Kbps (and there are no other alternatives, before someone asks). Can someone answer this question: Can I stream to the 722K the entire desired program at, say, 3AM and then watch it later? Or can I only stream and buffer myself to death, a-la...

722 sluggishness, will it ever end?

Well, if there's a fix in the works, it certainly hasn't arrived. My replacement receiver is now two or three FW updates beyond what it was when I got it, and the issue is still not fixed.

What to do with a portable receiver in a car I bought?

Thanks, everyone. I guess when it ends, that will be the end of that, then. Navychop: CtC is on a channel the receiver apparently isn't subscribed for.

722 sluggishness, will it ever end?

I sure wish they'd get this fixed. My old 722K never did this, but my replacement is horrible.

What to do with a portable receiver in a car I bought?

Hello, everyone: I've got a weird situation. I've never been a Sirius/XM customer. But I bought a used car from someone a few months ago, and she left the whole Sirius setup in it. And it works, and has continued working. I have no idea what her subscription was or is, and I'd like to know...

    Slow Guide on 722K

Oh, and to make matters worse, apparently there's some sort of DST bug, because until this morning, my receiver time and guide time disagreed by one hour. The receiver was an hour early, so each time I tried to use the guide, it would ask if I wanted to record the event. Of course, timers...

    Slow Guide on 722K

Well, I've had L690 pushed to me, with no change to the guide behavior. A POR makes the guide work again, but by the next day it's back to being slow. One thing I have noticed is that each "skip" up or down seems to take exactly one second when the guide is in this slowpoke mode. Maybe that's...

    Slow Guide on 722K

What's interesting to me is that the old 722k had the same FW as this new replacement does, and I never had a slow guide problem, ever. This has got to be maddening for the coders, because it's not uniform across all the samples. I sure hope they fix it, though, because this is dang annoying...
