    The distinction between 'soft' and 'hard' was made by the Dish technician at the time. Take it up with them.

    That's correct. Also, unplugging is not a 'hard' reset. Look in the Diagnostics menu in 'Tools'' for it.

    Sorry, the message board did not send me a notification of your post. The 'soft' reset was under the direction of Dish tech support. They talked me through it. It was not just the red button, nor a power disruption. I want to say it involved using the 'tools' menu, but I would not encourage...

    A couple of years back, I had frequent, temporary audio dropouts with my current H3, but not permanent. Dish had me do a SOFT reset, and the problem was gone and hasn't returned.

    Curent SW version for the Hopper 3?

    Just got H380 on my Hopper3 yesterday morning and when checking my recordings schedule a bit ago I noticed that a WNBA timer was being completely ignored. I manually restored them, but I wish I had just re-started the Hopper to see if that fixed it. BTW, still getting the brief blackouts...

    Hopper 3 Software H376

    So the brief blackout on recorded program playback on H3 is still there on 376, and has been since the switch to the new media engine if I’m remembering right. Engineering can’t get a handle on it?
