    yeah, the cable is marked null modem, used ohmeter and cable is not pin # to pin #, that may be normal, but my pc didn't like it either. I think we'll get hold of coolsat, maybe they can talk us thru. Thanks for the reply.

    tried to get anything from the coolsat site really, the uploader from the disk does not find the cs8k on either computer. I think (hope) its just a bad cable.

    Thanks first of all, do I need to change out the lnb's, already have the verticle pole set, thanks again. How but them colts!!!!!

    we tried downloading the cs8000 on 2 dif computer, niether would even find the cs8k over the rs232 using the provided uploader program. I saw a thread about someone else having a bad cable, any suggestions?

    Hello everyone I just joined, have been watching the info on the cs8000. We have not managed as yet to dial in my dad's cs8000 and have decided we need to upload the newer files to make it work. Lots of good info here, thanks to all.......:)
