Is there way to identify the LNB type (linear/circular) by just looking at the information from Lyngsat? What type of lnb is for 103W? Thanks,

Thanks Thanks Chapelrun. I like your approaches. I have a 7" portable DVD player with A/V input jack and it's great for this type of application.

Why you can't get signal from 101W, if you use the DTV lnb (linear) on a 36" dish as Chapelrun mentioned? We can't do anything with those scrambled signal but we can see the signal and quality level.

I just interpreted from your picture and marked some notations :). L stands for low, H is for high and S stands for sharing between H & L. I have not seen a diplexer but they should have some kind of labeling to tell user which one is high and which one is low.

No. I just have a basic setup, no diplexers and no switches between LNB and receiver.

I know the cable is good, but I will try on a diff one. If the cable is bad, the signal should be very unstable. In my case it shows solid 40 percent.

Thanks Lak7. I thought the same way but just want to make sure diplexer can support signal flows either direction. So the bottom line is the L goes to L and H goes to H. Do you have any recommendation on the diplex brand and estimate cost? Sat LNB (H)...

Thanks Voomvoom, I have no switch (just directly connect from LNB to receiver using quad-shieled RG6). I believe Mercury II does not have an option to turn the port off. I spent 4 hrs to twist and turn the dish yesterday but whatever I did the signal was only 40 and quality was zero.

    I got a standard Ku LNBF DG780 from Digiwave (RF=11.70-12.20Ghz; IF=950-1450Mhz; LO=10.750Ghz). Following is my receiver setup: Sat= Glaxy25 Ku 97W LNB Type= LNB 10750 Positioner= Off Transponder= 11966/H/22000 0/22khz=Off Switch= None Input= None Port=1

Would some one please explain how to use/configue diplexer to share the same RG6 cable for satellite and cable TV signal? Thanks,
