I do not subscribe to locals so I only have OTA guide. Is your guide showing the dish local and then the OTA locals. Example, 05, 05.01, 05.02 . . . My guide would be just 05.01, 05.02 . . . I am using the same dual OTA tuner from AirTV.

Mark609, what software version are you on? Hit menu key twice to get to the info page. U536 hit me Wednesday morning which broke the OTA guide.

OK, my 48 hour time period has elapsed with no improvement to OTA guide situation. I called back in and got sent up to a specialist who ran diagnostics and hymed and hawed about how Dish didn't own OTA guide. I asked if they dropped support for OTA which they haven't and had a policy changed...

What has worked well for me is using Plex DVR (I bought a Plex Lifetime pass when it was on sale) which I have 2 Silicon Dust HD HomeRun Extend boxes which gives me 4 tuners. You can get a Silicon Dust 4 tuner box but I wanted the Extend Hardware compression to take the work off of my computers...

I look forward to the first person to try the quad tuner with a Hopper. If it works, like the first person who tried the Air TV tuner with the Hopper, it will cause a flood of orders. It might be like the first person who every ate an egg????

For those of you who's OTA guide is still working what software version is running on your Hopper? (hit menu twice and it will bring you to the info screen) U536 which was installed on my machine on 6/19 at 12:21am is where your OTA guide will go to hell. Tomorrow is the end of the 48hr time...

Hooper with Sling Box, which I believe is the Hopper 2 and Hopper 3 are hardwired. Kind of ridiculous being that most everything else has a detachable power cord.

And if you can't make it easy to download the guide why the hell is the power cable hard wired? LOTS of Hoppers if not most are buried deep in equipment cabinets which makes it VERY difficult to get to the power plug. Since a hard reboot is a problem solver I've put a switchable extension cord...

Actually a red button reboot does not download the guide. You have to do a hard reset (unplug the box) to get the guide to download. Yes, that's the first thing I did before calling tech support.
