    pc satellite apps dying out

I think Emp-Centauri in Czechoslovakia might make 16 port uncommitted switches.

You presumably need something that supports custom commands to control the cascaded switches.

    pc satellite apps dying out

Well I'm amazed but you are correct. MediaPortal doesn't currently support the larger switches. My contact is working on the upgrade for this at the moment but don't hold your breath - releases are not very frequent.

    pc satellite apps dying out

I'll check - I know the guy here in New Zealand who is a member of the dev/testing team and does a lot of the MediaPortal DVB/Diseqc testing.

Does MediaPortal not work in the US? That has a huge following, lots of support and is actively developed. It will play almost any media you care to throw at it as well and has many useful plugins. And it's free and Open Source. And what about VLC (although that's more of a media converter).

    OTA EPG grabber

Hi Everyone, Sorry I haven't visited this forum recently but I finished the ATSC implementatation with DR Cars and have been putting in other changes and testing for the next official release on Sourceforge which is hopefully now not too far away. enb141 - are you still interested?

    OTA EPG Grabber Testing

I need to see what DirectShow components it is trying to use to tune. I think your comments about Win7 may be correct. Can you change the parameters using EPG Centre. On the Diagnostics tab put BDA in the Trace box, save the parameters and run it again. If you can post the log that would be...

    OTA EPG Grabber Testing

Hi again, Having reread the part of the log you posted I may have been a little hasty. Is the Hauppauge a dual tuner with terrestrial ATSC and cable tuners on a single board? I see from the log that you did actually select terrestrial frequency 57000 to collect from. Steve

    OTA EPG Grabber Testing

Hi, Thanks for taking the time to try it. You didn't do anything wrong. The version you have only supports terrestrial ATSC because that's what the guy I have been testing with has. That's why the log reports no valid tuner because it's looking for a ATSC terrestrial tuner. However if you...

OTA EPG Grabber - Testers needed

EPG Collector is a free, open source EPG grabber for OTA EPG for Windows. It receives broadcast data and creates an xmltv compliant file that can be fed into many popular players (eg MediaPortal, WMC7, DVBViewer etc). It has around 2,000 users worldwide. I have recently enhanced it to...

    OTA EPG Grabber Testing

With a great deal of help from DRCars the OTA EPG Grabber for ATSC PSIP data seems to be working. However it needs to be tested on different feeds as there are a number of options a broadcaster can choose so the testing so far has not exercised all the options. Normally the software is...

    OTA EPG grabber

EPG Collector is now starting to work collecting terrestrial ATSC EPG data. With a great deal of assistance from DRCars it can successfully collect from the frequencies he has access to. However it needs to be validated against more frequencies as there are a number of options that...

    OTA EPG grabber

Sub-channels aren't used in DVB so I haven't come across them anywhere else. DVBViewer may not need a sub-channel to tune either. I use my own media player that I wrote and to tune to a TV channel I just tune to the correct frequency and then set up the MPEG2 demux to use the correct video and...

    OTA EPG grabber

I have the SDK for DVBViewer as I want to do a direct import from the Collector. The interface definitions for EPG data don't seem to have any fields for sub-channel.

    OTA EPG grabber

The times wil be +13 because they are transmitted in GMT and the Collector adds on the local offset from the PC it is running on. I am on GMT +13 at the moment. When we get a collection to work on your machine it should read -6.
