C41 not keeping resolution on TV when switching channels

I've got a new Directv install. One Genie DVR and one Genie Mini which is the C41 version. The main Genie is fine in how it treats resolution on my 4k TV. Thus, it never stutters when I change a channel and maintains the resolution and I have auto native turned off. However, on the Genie mini...

thinking of coming back to directv after 3 year hiatus

I think HD has been pretty good by all of the major players over the last couple of years. I do find the Directv HD quality to be on par with Fios. Considering that it is satellite and not "Fiber Optic" is cool. Even the standard def quality is very good and I have a 60 inch LG 4k Ultra HD...

thinking of coming back to directv after 3 year hiatus

When you say concurrent, does that mean you can be watching the main Genie DVR (the server) and two other genie mini clients or 3 other genie mini clients? And can you turn off a genie client to free it up?

thinking of coming back to directv after 3 year hiatus

Can you have a mix of wired and wireless genie minis? If so, are you limited to how many can be used at once to watch tv?

thinking of coming back to directv after 3 year hiatus

I checked and do not see any 4k content when I go to search and browse. I'm not really that concerned about 4K right now because 1)there isn't a lot of content for it and 2) i don't want to pay any extra monthly fees for 4k content. As for the wireless genies, is this something that they can...

AT&T is going to stop unlimited data plan if you have Directv???

thinking of coming back to directv after 3 year hiatus

Ok. The install went off pretty good yesterday. Since I had Directv about 3 years ago, they didn't have to put up a new dish so it was easier for the installers. A couple of things. I am pretty sure when I called that I requested the wireless genie mini. When the installer shows up he says...

thinking of coming back to directv after 3 year hiatus

I certainly agree that it is for cell service type of data. However, if you were to use a Wifi iPad occasionally using the hotspot feature on an iPhone, will AT&T terminate your account or throttle you just for that? I can see if someone was attempting to use "unlimited data" for their home...

thinking of coming back to directv after 3 year hiatus

So I called directv last night to set up service. They are supposed to be here this afternoon. I will post back on how it goes. One thing, however. On directvs website, they make it seem of you sign up for directv and have Att wireless you can get a 24 month lock-in for pricing. The woman...

Can anyone also comment on what you do for Internet? Does Directv have any offer with Verizon Fios for Internet and home phone? Seems like standalone Internet can be pricey once you remove TV/video. What do most people do in such a situation?

thinking of coming back to directv after 3 year hiatus

Can anyone comment on the picture quality of HD? Will I notice any difference coming from Fios? How does the Directv app for iOS work as well? Can you stream recorded content when out of your home on LTE or wifi?

Hmm. So since the newest iOS permits personal hotspot, AT&T could take that into account and still use that against you?

thinking of coming back to directv after 3 year hiatus

My Verizon Fios agreement will be coming up in about 60 days. I was thinking of switching to Directv. I haven't had them for about 3 years. Part of the reason to coming back is that AT&T will give you an unlimited data plan on your wireless if you sign up with Directv. One of the things...

    Using a Slinbox with DirecTV

I want to use a Slingbox in a room that doesn't have a TV but just my iMac and watch TV on that. I was reading out the Slingbox and it seems like a great device. Does anyone here use a SB with their DirecTV? If so, does it work well? Also, if you use a SB can you use the DirecTV remote to...
