That is a fair point but I’m going to take a guess that DTV feels its pointless because since you’re streaming they are assuming you’re getting your music fix through Pandora, Spotify, YouTube, etc…

Looks like slowly but surely dish is starting to transition the SD slate to streaming only rather than firing up an HD feed. To a degree it makes sense, but at the same time, I still feel that it defeats the purpose of having satellite

That’s why I’m considering just pausing it while I can save up the early termination and then cancel it versus walking away and owing

And is that due at the time of pause, or when I unpause?

Unfortunately, we might be moving to a house that does not allow dish installs which is the reason why we might have to drop it

Totally forgot to mention that, My family has enjoyed having an actual remote and channel numbers since coming back to satellite

Just curious to see why some of us on here are still on satellite. For me, the biggest reasons are there is no OTT service with no channel gaps and YouTube TV still not bringing back the MLB network…

That’s what I was thinking as well is that they’re going to move the rest of the SD slate to streaming rather than launching a satellite version of it. Channels that come to mind are the movie channels that are not high definition, MTV 2, MTV classic, Boomerang, etc… the million dollar question...

Just got the message on my guide that The Pursuit Channel 393 is moving to a streaming platform so your hopper will now have to be connected to the Internet. Dish website is saying that it’s to deliver it in HD and it got me thinking is this Dish’s way of solving the issue of SD only channels...
