I hope you don't end up with a 622. I had 2 units that failed within 6 months. They both did exactly the same thing. The never ending resetting problem. I ended up with a 722K and love it. No problems at all. I also just renewed my contract and they gave me another 722k. I love Dish!!

Leased it because they offered it to me. I wanted to take advantage of the current promotions and I was not under contract. I need more remotes anyway so it was a win/win. Plus, I get 6 months on the warranty.

That's strange. I just upgraded today to take advantage of new promotions and didn't pay anything other than the monthly fee. I also was not under contract. Maybe, something needs to be rewired? Extensive cabling?

Long time lurker. I'm finally an official member. Here's my question...I have a 722k DVR that I own. Currently, it's not activated but I am a Dish Net customer with another 722k leased. Is their any use for this other box? COuld I buy a OTA module and use the DVR feature without a connection...
