SWM LNB or LNB with SWM Multiswitch

I'm coming from an MDU account. I own all the equipment... including the dish. They wouldn't install a dish at my current residence so I had to do the work myself. The easiest thing for me to do is just install new dish and move my receivers. It's that simple. I mention the tenants since they...

SWM LNB or LNB with SWM Multiswitch

Understood... but I need to buy new equipment. The current equipment is going to stay for my future tenants. Not sure what is best to buy.

SWM LNB or LNB with SWM Multiswitch

Hi all, I'm moving to a new house and need some feedback. I currently use a standard HD LNB with a mulitswitch for conversion to SWM. Many many years ago, an DTV installer told me that was the way to go, because the SWM LNB's had issues in extreme temperatures... specifically cold weather. I've...

    DECA Adapter for Network Hub

If you all your boxes are HR24's, you only need a DECA adapter or CCK hooked to your router... so your statement is correct. Each 24 has will receive internet over coax.

Using a DECA with HR34 Genie Client (C31)

I have the answer. I'm on my mobile so I'm not sure how to link URLs from the app. Do a search for my previous post below. This explains my setup and others complaints about the setup. What you are trying do do is my current setup with different equipment. PM me with any questions. "DECA...

    DECA Adapter for Network Hub

From people's posts, it doesn't seem like anyone would want this setup, but here is an update: I completed the setup today with the PI and everything is working flawlessly. This is the setup below: DISH -> SWM PI -> 4-Way Green Splitter Splitter Output - 1: CCK -> goes to main switch...

    DECA Adapter for Network Hub

See, that's what I thought. I could never get it to work that way. That's why I started this thread. My HR24 kept telling me "not able to connect" and "make sure you ethernet cable is plugged in." For some reason I couldn't get an IP. I just figured the HR24 didn't like the DECA connected...

    DECA Adapter for Network Hub

I agree, this is not the best solution, but I don't have any line to my main switch available. Running one is not an option either. Well it is, but I wont be at this place for many more years so I'm not going to waste the effort.

    DECA Adapter for Network Hub

I should have been a little more clear with some background knowledge. I'll start again... I upgraded my HR22 to an HR24. HR22 needed the DECA adapter. For a little over the last year, here is how I had it setup: DISH -> SWM PI -> 4-Way Green Splitter Splitter Output - 1: CCK -> goes to main...

    DECA Adapter for Network Hub

Thanks for both responses. Sounds like what I was trying to do is defiantly feasible. All I really need to get is a PI for the DECA. Here is my setup. Should paint a clearer picture. DISH -> SWM PI -> 4-Way Green Splitter Splitter Output - 1: CCK -> goes to main switch (office) 2: HR22 w/DECA...

    DECA Adapter for Network Hub

So... I really haven't seen a definite answer, but I'm pretty sure I know what to do. I want to take a DECA adapter and covert tbe signal to my network switch. I've got a SWM8 RG6 line split into two. One going to my HR24 and one going to a DECA adapter. The DECA adapter has an PI connected to...

    HR24 & HR22 MVR Issues

    HR24 & HR22 MVR Issues

I'm lost... I previously had an HR22 w/DECA adapter and a H25 setup without any MVR issues. I've now introduced an HR24 and removed the H25. I cannot get MVR to work on the HR24. When I do the network setup, it keeps telling me no connection found. Also, I don't understand why it keeps saying...

    HR-34

Not sure if this is a dumb question, but here I go... if I have a SWM8, can I get 5 SWM through one of the SWM outputs? Or is it max 4... as in each line has a total of 4? From what I know, it's a total of 8 through all combined lines... so could be 1 and 7, or 6 and 2. Correct?
