Dish 500 or 1000/1000.2 to receive 61/72 EA

Fewer and fewer day by day. I was thinking we were discussing HD receivers, but I can see the audience is ready to catch any small detail less than perfect. You got some points there, good for you! EA are not used for SD per Dishnet instructions, and I only work for them. Not run the company.

Dish 500 or 1000/1000.2 to receive 61/72 EA

Reading more carefully reaps it's reward. I see after another reread that you don't use the 2 sats with a DDP Twin and a Dish 500, you just grab the 72.7 and OTA the locals. I was discussing it in the shop this morning and someone suggested trying the same more or less skew as EA.2, at 57, maybe...

Dish 500 or 1000/1000.2 to receive 61/72 EA

Say what? Ghetto Boy, I don't think there are many mpeg2 receivers out there, but we don't install new ones anywhere I know of. Dish sent down word through the FSMs that EA 1000.4 and EA 1000.2 will not work with SD equipment, software issue was the reason for EA.2 and I guess the .4. On all...

Loosing internet connection to mmy 722K receiver

You are right . I finally did some research...when the Ks first started showing up in warehouse inventory the FSM told us the Ks didn't have OTA modules, and I never heard they were returned to OEM I have never had any customer request the OTA ant connected to a 722K, so there you are. I looked...

Dish 500 or 1000/1000.2 to receive 61/72 EA

Wow, I didn't know that 61.5/72.7 worked with a Dish 500. What is the skew? I live in Texas and I don't know where you are...that would be great for LOS issues here, we only use the 1000.2 EA to get those sats and the 1000.2 EA LNB won't work with SD receivers.

    HD Channels moving ??

Hmmm...here in Houston we used the 1000.4 EA for tree blocked installs and wrong facing apts; the 1000.4 EA doesn't work with SD receivers, neither does the 1000.2 EA. As well, there is a big signal drop from WA to EA, but DISH doesn't want 2 dish installs (neither do most customers). I wonder...

Loosing internet connection to mmy 722K receiver

You do have an older model...'Ks don't do OTA. I can't see why the Hopper would either, most locals are on the sats.

    Peaked 1000.4 through tree

The 1000.2 EA uses the 61.5 and 72, and like the other EA only works with HD. And signal levels in the lower states are very low, unlike the 1000.2 WA. A good idea is to have a DPP Twin and a separate dual LNB in case you can only get the 110/119 sat, and use the 61.5 for the HD . (Just in case)...

Personally...get the Hopper. I see the Hopper as going from a rotary phone to a Cell phone . If you are tired of 722 issues, the Hopper is so much more fun.
