I still have my TiVos because their software makes the 622 interface look antiquated. There is just no comparison on the features. Some of the season pass features can be done on the Dish DVRs but it is less intuitive. The search by keyword feature is not as good either. Having said that...

Thanks for the help. The receiver is a 2900, it says so on the back. Bought it 7 years ago in my original install, hence the blue card is out of date. To activate it I'll need a new card.

I guess putting a DPP44 switch would do it...but at $199 they're a tad expensive :eek: Any other way? If I add a new receiver from dish instead of the 2900, would the free installation add a DPP44?
