Used Voom Box + Lost PIN = ?

Technically there are 10,000 combinations (don't forget 0000) but I agree with the suggestion. Just keep trying combinations. Start with easy ones, 0000, 1111, 2222, 1234, 2345, etc. Patience is a virtue.

    OTA STB Time Bomb?

I'm Adelphia-bound. They have 13 channels of HD here (including locals) + an HD DVR. I just hope the PQ is good. I'll post my findings in the cable section once I have it installed on the 30th.

Could Dish Network Continue Voom's Programming?

You're all driving me crazy! :yikes Quit giving me hope. (glad I signed up for cable with no commitment)

    OTA STB Time Bomb?

All I know is that we're going to have to learn to live with reflective tribblewonky-lite after the 30th.

POLL: After VOOM, who will be your provider?

No specific announcement from D* but plenty of speculation in the HDTV Programming forum on AVS. Its all based on the new mpeg4 capable sats going up over the next few months. Its rumored to be a 2 or 3 year transition. So I guess I should've said that D* HD receivers are likely to become...

Recording all Voom channels for history

I don't have a Tivo or DVD recorder but I've already saved the Peter Gabriel concert to S-VHS. I wanted to catch the 1997 Montreux Jazz Festival just for ELP but haven't seen it listed lately.

    OTA STB Time Bomb?

Hey elocs, thanks for throwing cold water on our debate. ;) It sure was alot more fun debating which new channels were coming. Anyhoo, I'm getting Adelphia cable hooked up on the 30th but I'd still like to have an OTA receiver in case their local feed PQ is bad. (fingers crossed)

Listings of S.G. member’s predictions for future:

Verizon will be using Microsoft's IPTV as well and I think they are the most likely candidate to pick up some or all of the Voom 21's. They aren't rolling out IPTV until the end of the year so I'm not sure what would happen if those channels were dark for six months. Of course this is all just...

    Voom 21 programming ends at......

BFG, that means that there will be no programming on the 30th. Is that what you meant to say or should it be 12:01 AM May 1st?

POLL: After VOOM, who will be your provider?

I'm going with Adelphia cable. They have all the locals in HD (except Fox), HBO, SHO, Starz, Max, HDNet & Movies, InHD1 & 2, ESPNHD & 2, Discovery HD and NFLnet HD. Thats a total of 15. They also offer an HD DVR for $6 or $7. Plus no commitment in case something better comes along (Verizon...

Is VOOM Down? No it is not!

Not trying to be funny or start rumors but is Voom down right now? I get the box about the satellite is not available. My service is down but it could be because of the weather. Anyone watching Voom right now?

Is it me or is the guide hard to see?

I'm about 14' from a 50" and have no problems reading it. The colors are a bit hard on the eyes though, especially the yellow in a dim room.

Voom promises of 50 channels, price reduction, etc

Most likely its your TV. It takes time for it to process the HD picture. I have a receiver that lets me delay the audio to get it in synch.
