The whole HD lite issue is lame, in that the CEA and other groups, as well as the FCC has defined HD as 720p OR 1080i. Once the MPEG4 installs are fine tuned and widespread, this bogus term (HD lite) will go away once and for all. No leg to stand on here.

The latest patch was only to fix the "cannot acquire sat" message bug...not fixed. Another patch is pending soon for audio issues, including HD local Dolby dropouts...

Its facinating that 2 of my neighbors abandoned their HD Dish setups for D*TV in just the past 90 days claiming exactly the opposite, after seeing D*TV HD in my setup. Maybe at your location, but I just saw 2 live HD events the past week here on D*TV and still have my OTA as well with the new...

Unfortunately their installers, equipment, customer service and overall HD picture quality are the pits. My neighbor had them out 4 times just to get the HD equipment install done right. Now that school is out, maybe they'll have more installers available (LOL :D ).
