921 Upgrade offer Charlie didn't say where the 921 to 622 upgrade was free or not. He didn't mention a price so I assumed it was free. Customer service wants to charge me a $100 fee and a 24 month commitment. Anyone know details on this? Thanks

I called on Tuesday and the tech installed mine today (Thursday). This was an upgrade and the tech brought the unit with him.

I own my 301 and I never inquired about returing it.

Or replace your DP34 with a DPP 44 switch.

I know the 921 can be used with one SAT feed so I'm sure the 942 will be the same.

DP34's are not DPP switches.

I've seen posts here that dish will no longer activate 921's or 942's. If that's the case they would be worthless to sell.

As I understand it for exsisting customers with no HD currently it's $199 up front and $10/month credit for 10 months if you get the HD programming; no up front credits.

I just did this with my 921. I ordered the 622 and paid $199. I will get my $100 in monthy credits for the programming. I told the CS rep I was replacing my 301 with the 622 and he had no issues with it. I'm scheduled for a 6/15 install and update this thread when it's activated.

Does anyone know if the 622 will display an HD signal in the PIP window? I don't see it in the specs.
