    cricket ticket

Cricket Ticket comes through the 95W satellite (special dish needed) and has also been through one of the main satellites (slimline dish) recently. I will have to head home to check myself. Somewhere on here or one of the other boards should be a current mapping of transpanders to DirecTV...

Fed-up DirecTV subscribers turn up the volume on hidden fees

People come to these boards seeking help with their sat system or wanting to share their experience. To come to the front page of this web site to see headlines like this is a real turn-off. I have not been here that often recently and see no need to return for a while. Please, start a...

    What we are hearing...

ESPN News had a note on their lower right corner last night saying HD version was launching Sunday, I believe.

    To Be Announced

it is especially bad for the Cricket Ticket matches. often they do not hit the epg until a day before the match. I typically have to call D* to find out which channel and time the match will be shown and manually program by time and channel.

Taking my satellite while travelling for a weekend

Are the locals delivered via 72.5 CONUS or spot beam? If they are spot beamed, Busterw might have some issues getting locals.

    AT9 (sidecar) vs. AU9 (Slimline)

And now we have Beyonce dancing around telling everyone they need an "Upgrade. Upgrade." My wife and her sister imitate her every time that commercial comes on.

    Jade Chinese Channels

I had heard some time ago that the plan was to migrate all the Chinese channels to the 95W sat exclusively. I know many Chinese channels are located there, but had not heard anything about a timetable. I do not subscribe to these, so I would not have been targeted for communication on this...

    wireless internet connection for vod

I have a new HR20-100 series, so don't have DOD at this point. Does the connection have to go through the ethernet port or could I just get a wireless USB WiFi plug? I already have a LinkSys WiFi in place.

Help with Slimline Installation in Markham, Ontario

SD's for many of the larger cities have a CONUS coverage. THe HD LiL are pretty much all on spot beams from 99 and 103, which, as I understand things, do not cover huge areas beyong the individual US DMA's. My guess is that you are not in that beam.

Wednesday 6am Channel List. on D*

Come on... Albany! (Seriously, though, Mankato, MN (DMA 200) before Albany, NY? (DMA 56)) All the HD retailers should be giving D* a slice of their increase in sales for the next three months. I suspect demand (OK, at his point, NEED) for multiple HD sets in a single household will climb...

    "Moving" Question--CT to FL

Responses: If you were to install the 5LNB yourself, or pay someone to do it without notifying D*, you could 1) continue to get the New York HD locals for as long as they continue to broadcast in MPEG2 nationally. If they go to MPEG4, the HR10 will no longer receive them. However, if you...

The Force DirecTV is now using Jedi mind control techniques to make you forget what their CSR's told you? Wow! :what

Perhaps you can solve my problem D* couldn't?

Are you sure you peaked on the 72.5? Just a far out possibility that you found 101 or 119 by mistake and peaked there? When I had one of the first 95W 1m dishes my installers had done, they kept acquiring signals from adjacent sats and needed to get a higher end signal meter to do the job right.
